Running Tights for Cold Weather

I recently bought GoreApparel Thermo Lady Tights for runs in chilly weather. While I am not too fond of the name “lady tights,” I find these to be great tights for the cold weather. They keep me warm, but not too warm. They fit well and run true to size.

These pants are thin, so I went into my first run very skeptical that they would keep me from being cold. This Gore fabric is great, though. Good purchase. These run about $100, so could be considered a little pricey.

I’m 6′ tall, and do wish these came in long/tall sizing. An extra two inches would be fantastic! I did buy a pair of Brooks running pants that are indeed long enough for this tall woman – review to come.

These are interesting…

On the days I don’t get in a quick run, I make sure I take a 20-30 minute walk around SF Financial District, near my office. My goal is still 10,000 steps per day! I keep passing these guys on Mission:

Every time I see them, I think of Tim Burton’s “Nightmare Before Christmas” and surely you can see why:

These statues are definitely quirky… Not your run of the mill artwork, that’s for sure. When I walk this particular path, I always look forward to seeing them because who doesn’t need “This is Halloween! This is Halloween!” running through their head? 🙂

Wednesday morning run

Yesterday, Wednesday, I got to sneak in an extra run… I usually get to run on Tuesdays and Fridays, so I was very happy to get some more activity in (last week was not so successful). On my quick two-mile run, this was my view:

Not too shabby! Made for a nice start to my day. 🙂
